The Assam Government Holiday List 2026 has been officially released by the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Government of Assam. The notification was issued on 17 November 2025 from Dispur, Guwahati.

Important Notes for Employees & Institutions
- Educational institutions and medical/engineering colleges may adopt this list separately
- District Commissioners may declare local holidays (with conditions)
- GAD may declare additional holidays with the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Minister
- Banks remain closed on 1 April 2026 due to annual account closing
